Pumps

I need a pump that pumps about a gallon of a 50/50 mixture of cornstarch and water within about 5 to 8 minutes. Any suggestions?

Hi,

You can view all of our pumps here. The best pump for your use will depend on use of the mixture, flow rate and how the mixture interacts with the pump.
A good pump for most mixtures is the RB-Ada-91. It may have an easier time since the mixture would never touch the internal components (the motor presses against the tube, so no direct contact).
The one problem with it would be flow rate, which is about 100 mL/min. One gallon is ~3.78541 L or ~3785.41 mL. Therefore, with this pump at maximum capacity, this process would take roughly ~38 minutes.

If the mixture touching the internals is not an issue (i.e.: non-food/drinks), then you can use a faster pump, such as the RB-All-102, which is reported to have a flow rate of at least 1.5 L/min, therefore possibly completing your task in roughly 2.5 minutes!

Unfortunately, that is pretty much the only two options as our pump selection is currently limited.

We hope this helps.

Sincerely,

Hi,

For the sake of expanding your choice, and not to compete with the previous answer, have this BLDC Pump checked out.

They only have one pump in their selection, but the good thing is, they are open for customization, specifically their OEM products.

Hope this helps!
