PS2 Controller problems with Atom pro 24

hi, i have ridden all post about atom pro and ps2, and i followed all code about the problem to resolve the same problem, but instead of getting the 79, 255, 255, 128, etc that I should be getting I get FF, 255, 255, 255… instead .
now, i have a atom pro 24 and not 28 it should be the problem?
i use atom pro ide 8 1 7 0, and i have tried the code in post “PS2 Controller problems with Atom pro 28” … but nothing
may someone help me please? TNK

p. s.
i have tried to put ps2 in 4-7 pin and in 12-15 too

What carrier are you using? There needs to be a pullup resistor on the data line…

ops,

i have:

mini atom board I (mini -ABB)
Basic Atom Pro 24
Ps2 Cable from lynxmotion
Sony Dualshock 2

i have tried only 7,2V battery and with 9V too

Try toggling each I/O pin separately to make sure they are all working. Look to see if there are any 3v I/O pins on the 24 pin Atom Pro. If there are you may want to avoid using them. I have never sold this combination, (atom pro 24, Mini Atom Bot Board, with Sony brand controller) so I have no idea if there are issues and I technically can’t support it. I already mentioned the pullup required for the data line. Are you using it? An example of the code, or a link to the guide may help. Are you sure the ps2 controller is working with the game console?

i tried board with atom Pro on my robot and Jaggernaut with other program and it’s ok.
i played now to try with dualshock and it’s ok.
tomorrow in office i test all I/O pin, but really… i think that i buy a 28pin. I haven’t found in any site or forum about this combination too… so i don’t think the it’s all right.

so… i need another atom for another vehicle with ps2 controller.

it’ ok if i use a Mini-ABB, Basic Atom pro 28 and a dualshock or i can have some problem with the program interface?

tnk , for assist

I have used the Atom 28 with the MiniABB, pins 4,5,6,7. I have used the Atom Pro 28 with the Bot Board II, pins 12,13,14,15. Beyond that I’m just guessing.
