PS2 Controller Cable Colors

I purchased the PS2-01 Sony Playstation Controller Cable for my AL5D robot arm, and I was on your site using the manual for the bot with PS2 controller to assemble the robot arm. In your schematic for how to connect the cable for the PS2 to the pins on the bot boards, I noticed that the colors on my cable did not match up. Seeing the “click here” for color variations, I checked all the possible colorings, and mine still did not match. The colorings closest to my cable were in the order: green, grey, red, black/white, blue, yellow, orange/white, brown. The yellow and orange in my cable are flipped, and this is not listed as one of the possibilities. Will this impact how the controller works with the robot? Or is it ok to have the yellow and orange’s positioned switched? In other words, will I have to switch the wires or will I need to ship this back for you to fix this?

Thank you,
Kathryn

The latest batch of cables seem to have a slightly different color scheme, and we apologize for this. The important part is you see where the wires come from and that they are in the correct order. Base yourself off the schematic and see where the wires come from and go to (despite the different color). We’ll hopefully have a new color scheme up on the website shortly.
