PS2 BS2 Controller problems

im using a PS2 controller for one of my projects, and i had bought the controller from the actually lynxmotion website, but im having trouble getting it to connect. the code works using another one of my controllers, but for some reason the light on the left of the controller just keeps blinking and never connects.

someone please help…

mmm, I think that that controller will only work with the Basic Atom’s, it’s to advanced to work with the BS2, as most wireless I think.

even if it dosnt work with it, shouldnt the controller still connect?

Do you have the accessory power connected(to 5v or 7.2v). IIRC thats the purple wire. Some wireless PS2 controllers need power through the accessory connector or they won’t connect.

i just tried it, and no luck

The easiest wat to test the controller is to connect it to a playstation console if you have one. The BS2 will work with the original sony brand controller, but I have never had any success with any of the 3rd party controllers.

no, i dont have a ps2

well if i use another controller that i had purchased from radioshack by intec, it works fine. i just think the lynxmotion controller isnt connecting to its receiver properly… does anyone know how the light are suppose to light up when working properly? on mine the left lights are both blinking on the remote, and receiver, and the right light on the receiver is solid, while the right light on the remote it not lit… i assume they are suppose to both be solid?

is there a instruction sheet on how to the receiver and remote?

I did a quick test and the remote should connect to the receiver without the receiver communicating with the stamp or atom. The controller is 2.4ghz so make sure you don’t have any other devices using this frequency in the area. (note, I do not know if this is a potential for problems) It could be that your controller is defective. If so we will replace it. Sorry for the trouble…
