Projects I've done the past few years with Lynxmotion arms

I’ve accumulated a handful of projects over the past few years that have used various versions of the Lynxmotion arms. I thought I’d share them in case they help to generate ideas in the future or if anyone is looking for a reference since I also have code posted for the projects I’ve done.

The first project was back in 2004 when I used a Lynxmotion arm as part of an image processing project to retrieve objects of various shapes and colors as specified through a user interface. Full project write-up can be found here: jiggywatts.com/technology/di … rocessing/

The second project, also from 2004, used the same arm to play air hockey for a video processing project: jiggywatts.com/technology/he … robot-arm/

Most recently, I integrated one of the arms with the Microsoft Kinect to allow users to control the arm in real-time. This system is used primarily for education outreach events and has proven to be quite fun: jiggywatts.com/technology/so … %E2%80%A6/

We’ve recently upgraded the KinectBot with a system that launches test tubes in the air when users successfully pick up a small plush toy with the arm and then drop it on a paddle that triggers the tube launcher: flickr.com/photos/kabong/12309688604/

Very interesting! Certainly appreciate the post.
