Sorry to hear your news. Been there my friend.
Keeping my eye out for your update.
Hello,
I have been busy with school and exams but!!!
I have got Black Death to go from “all1500” to the tank and vice versa
I coded the tank mode forward, backward, left and right (the left and right needs work it crabs badly)
The rotate left and right is working too,
The only thing I still need to do is code it to walk forward, backward, left and right
I also must speed up my code for the ps2 it’s not very good at the moment
I noticed that the 485’s from my chr-01 is right on limit of what they can do and the batteries are not in yet so I will need to upgrade when I have $$$
The video will be up as soon as I can get a video camera
good to hear you are making progress. Thanks for the update.
Looking forward to the video. 8)

Hello everyone
After more than a year looking at this robot at the back of my cupboard everyday I decided to get it rolling/walking again. The first problem I had was finding femur and tibia servos that can cope with the load after much research I decided on the PowerHD 1501-MG which have a stall torque figure of 17kg.cm which is impressive for the price of $17.00 a piece. I am using 8 for the femurs and tibias and 4 hs 485 hb for the coax servos. I also replaced the aluminium SES brackets or homemade lexan ones so that I can get my ch3-r working again.
Here is a couple of picures to tease you
I will be working on the code for my robot and DIY remote in the coming weeks
Btw does anyone know when I can get a simple 3dof quad gait engine for my robot I tried looking at the arduino sketch for the SES 1.1 quad but I don’t know C at all
Kind regards,
Codemaster
Very impressive. Time to rent it out to Japanese film makers
