Programming the MeArm Pi robot arm

Hi,
I am interesting in ordering the MeArm Pi robot arm. I am using it for educational purposes. The purchase for USD 75.25 does not include the RaspberryPi. Following are my questions.

1. Will the MeArm Pi robot arm work with a Raspberry Pi 3?
2. I want to use Python running on the Raspberry Pi 3. Is there sample Python programs I can get somewhere?
3. How does the Raspberry Pi 3 communicate to the Robot via a USB connection?

Yes, the manufacturer suggests using either the Pi 2 or 3.

The electronics included are in the form of a “hat” which plugs into the Pi’s IO pins.
