Programming the BRAT using the Raspberry Pi

I’ve bought the Flowbotics version of the BRAT. I want though to program BRATnot through Flowbotics, but using the Raspberry Pi. This is actually the reason that I’ve bought the Flowbotics version. Thus, I would like to ask whether:

]We can connect the servo controller of the specific version of the BRAT to the Raspberry and program that controller, from the Raspberry. Can we use C or Python?/:m]
]Are there some instructions as to how to connect the BRAT servo controller to the Raspberry?/:m]
]Do I have to buy another controller, for example the Palolu servo controller in order to program the BRAT, using the Raspberry?/:m]

Hi,

The Flowbotics version of the BRAT comes with an SSC-32 which is not programmable.
You might be able to control the SSC-32 controller with the Raspberry Pi using UART (TX/RX) without buying an extra servo controller.
We unfortunately don’t provide a tutorial on how to use the SSC-32 with a Raspberry Pi, however you can refer to the SSC-32 User Manual where you can find the commands to be sent from the Raspberry Pi to the SSC-32
We hope this helps.
