Programming AtMega168 with V2

Hi,
I cannot get this to work.
I have a STK500 Programmer, all seems to be set up correctly, maybe not the fuse.
Can you tell my the byte values LOW, HIGH, EXTENDED please?
The jpg doesnt help, as the normal Atmel programmers work differently.
Also the hex file begins at e000, so the boot block is supposed to be 512 WORDS???
BTW it would be much easier to provide a complete elf file with all settings.
And the boot loader should also accept hex files, and not this strange abl format.
I would buy a preprogrammed 168, but the cost to have it sent to Germany is much too high.
Regards, Fried

No SSC-32 Support???

First you posed your request on a Friday at about mid day which means it is highly likely you will not get a response until Monday morning.

Second you are asking questions about doing something offered as a courtesy, questions technical enough that they may need to ask the developer of the software to decipher and post a reply to. Thus a Monday morning might happen but I’d put the odds at less than 50% and I know the subject matter you are talking about.

Third chill out. If you took more than the amount of time it takes to post your request and looked around at other requests for support you would discover most of what I have just told you and not come off looking like an impertinent child wanting his deserved answer right now.

I guess I don’t mean to make the tone of my reply sound angry or annoyed but with regard to the tone of your post 22 hours later, it seemed appropriate. Relax and your answers will come… they generally do.

What have you actually purchased from lynxmotion that needs to be supported?

What I have bought from Lynxmotion:
2 SSC-32 Boards
BH3 Robot complete
Lynx6
Phoenix via NoDNA in Germany
some smaller things…
Sorry if my post sounded angry to you it was not meant that way.

Why are you trying to make a mega168 V2 chip when all you need to do is upgrade in the normal way using LynxTerm. It’s much easier than burning a new chip from scratch. If you are trying to upgrade an older mega8 SSC-32, then we have made the 168 chip available separately. Truth is for many reasons, Lynxmotion, Inc. does not provide technical support for burning chips from scratch.

As I have written above, I would buy the chips from you if the expedition costs to Germany would not be prohibitive, 100$ UPS for two small chips is unacceptable!
Kind regards, Fried

We do have a distributor in Germany - you might want to see if they have the chips in stock, or if they can order them with their next order for you.
