Problems with HS-7980TH and ssc 32

hi there,

I have a problem …

I want to move my HS-7980TH servo with a ssc32.

I have set the time of making the move to 3 seconds.

when I make the first move the servo is rotated very fast (maybe the highest speed possible?) !!

only starting with the second move it will make the moves in 3 seconds …

what could be the problem ?

I have no problem if I use a HS81 servo … the move is made in 3 seconds…

thanks,
mihai

The first move must be as fast as possible, because before the first move the SSC-32 has no idea where the servo is positioned. However after the first move, the SSC-32 now knows where the servo is, and all timed moves can be utilized. This is true for all servos.

but what can I do in this case?

because the servo is very strong and my robot is heavy …
if I make a fast move maybe I destroy some components of the robot …

thanks,
mihai

You simply need to physically move the servos close to the starting position so they do not need to move very far. The first move can be to any position… So you must make sure the first commanded position is as close as possible to the real position when powering the robot on for thye first time.
