well i bought the software and installed on my brand new pc then when i try to open anything i mean a project it gives me an error like an error ocurred whike attempting to initialize the borland database engine
(error $210A) i need to know how to fix this.
(tecnical support i think)
thanks
Hello Papetoarenas
The Microsoft Dot Net Framework can crash the Borland Database Engine if it’s installed after SEQ,
In order to fix this :
1 - Uninstall the SEQ software.
2 - REBOOT the PC
3 - Then reinstall the SEQ software. it will fix the problem.
try this and tell me if it has solved the problem,
(don’t forget to reboot after the uninstall, before installing again SEQ).
if you update the Microsoft Dot Net Frameworks, it could crash BDE again,
so, don’t forget to export your Project before, in order to import them later,
because uninstall and install overwrite the Projects stored into database.
this is the lynxmotion Visual Sequencer i havent see the uninstaller anywhere can you tell me where or how to unistall it thanks
ok tried twice uninstall rebbot reinstall

Hello papetoarenas,
SEQ must be uninstalled with the Windows’ uninstall feature only.
Start->control panel->Add or Remove Programs
then search “Lynxmotion SEQ” then click “remove”
reboot the PC and try installing again
did you use this ?
tried what you said dindnt work either
and i havent got any support from lynxmotion
uninstalled reboot reboot installed
didnt work
ahhhhh
any info comments or anything would help
thanks
Who do you think asked Laurent to answer the forum post! Grrr!
The rest of us here would love to help, if we could.
I have never experienced this sort of problem, though.
Cheer up, though.
Laurent is the creator of both the Sequencer and RIOS; you can’t possibly get better customer support than he can give you.
Just throwing this out there…
If you have both the Visual Sequencer and RIOS on your computer, is it possible that they’re both demanding the same resources (perhaps that mentioned Borland Database Engine?).
Another thing for you to try:
Defrag, virus check, and spyware/adware check your computer.
Worst comes to worst, it still won’t work, but you’ll have a clean computer when you’re done.
Press Ctrl + Alt + Del and click on the process tab.
Then click on the “User Name” collumn and end the unecessary processes that are running under your user name.
(Don’t end anything that’s running under SYSTEM, NETWORK, etc, and don’t end anything that has “ms”, “explore”, “system”, etc in it’s name.)
Then try running the program again.
If that still doesn’t work, try rebooting and running the program in “Safe Mode”.
I doubt that the above will solve your problem, but it won’t hurt to try.
i did de uninstall thing and i still getting the same message im only using the visual sequencer so no resources problem.
uninstall and reinstall didn’t work.
anything else you can try to fix my problem.
thanks
um, tell me more about your PC, Windows version, processor, speed, memory etc…
dell inspiron e1505 windows xp intel centruno duo 1.86 GHZ 2 gigs ram
thats my pc
Do you have any other PC available to test it on?
If you’re near a college, or internet cafe, those are always ripe victims.
well if you are charging 50 bucks for this software i spect that works in my machine i havent got any other reply.
can you solve this problem please
We have sold hundreds of copies of this software. Only a few have had trouble, but none have gone unresloved. I know it can be frustrating, but Laurent is the only person who has the ability to figure out what the problem is. I know he has been unable to get to the forum the last few days. I’m not sure what the problem is, but he is in France. I will contact him and ask him to get back to this problem. I am very sorry for the trouble.
If we can’t get this going soon I will refund your money. Please don’t be concerned in that regard. I’m really sorry about the trouble.
So, sorry for the delay,
can you try to delete the file C:\PDOXUSRS.net ,
then try to run Seq again.
if the error is still occuring, try to update the BDE engine :
- 1 - make sure Seq is already installed
- 2 - download the BDE Update here :
ibinstall.defined.net/dl_bdeinfo.htm
( BDEInfoSetup.zip )
extract the BDEInfoSetup.EXE file and run it, follow the installation process and reboot the PC
try to run Seq again
let me know
Thank you very much Laurent!
I had that problem and solved it immediately!
Thanks Lynx for all the support…!
