Hi guys, I’ve assembled the 4DOF T-hex and I want to use it in combination with the v2 ps2 robot controller from lynxmotion. The first time I started the robot it worked just fine for about 15 seconds after which it started to walk backwards in a circle out of my control, upon completing the circle it went limp and the lights of the ps2 receiver turned off. The second time I tried to turn it on it worked for 10 seconds after which it started walking backwards in a circle and then it went limp, the receiver lights turing off again. Subsequent attempts were shorter each time and now I can’t seem to connect to it at all and the sound indicating a bad connection keeps playing. The receiver and controller work just fine when connected to a playstation 2 and I have ruled out broken wires between the botboard and the receiver. Does anyone know what might have caused this and if so how I can fix this?
If subsequent attempts get shorter and shorter, that sounds a battery problem. Are all the batteries in the remote new and on the robot properly charged?
If that’s not the problem, can you make a short video and post a youtube link here so we can see what’s going on? If you could upload some clear pictures of your electrical connections too, that may help.
The batteries in the remote were not new but did seem to work fine when testing with a playstation, I have switched the batteries and that seems to have solved the problem. Thanks for your help!
Glad to see you got it working!
