Problem with Texas Instruments Launchpad

Hello everyone, yesterday I received the 2 Texas Instruments Launchpads I had ordered but I cant make it work with the pc.

Well the pc recognises it but only as a serial commonication port ,the virtual driver says that it is not working properly.

I installed again and again code composer studio and IAR but the smae thing happens.

I also tried installin the vcp driver my shelf and still is not working .

I dont know what else to do.

Please give me your lights.

Launch Delayed

I d/l’d the latest software from their site when I got mine and it installed with no issue (working fine) into Vista. I’ve got an XP hotplug drive I can swap in this weekend and try installing it there to see what happens. In the meantime, maybe someone will cough up an answer.

You’ve got USB 2.0 ports, right?

I found something http://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/msp43016-bit_ultra-low_power_mcus/f/166/t/31448.aspx .

I searched into the system options and found that launchpad uses f432 driver .

I also did a search in google for pid_f432 and found the link above that says that the specific driver might not work with all computer

hardware.

Is that true or not?

I thought it was an issue with UNIX only

Most of what I saw on the 43oh site confirmed there is an issue with f432 and some hardware, but on UNIX. It is not outside the realm of possibility this issue occurs in XP as well. What type of computer do you have (mobo-wise)?

netbook

Well now I am on an acer apsire one netbook.
