Problem with servo.AD_PRT files

Gentle persons:

I’ve begun to use the SES CAD files in Alibre Design Standard 11.2. So far, things are mostly going well, thanks.

Unfortunately, the servo assembly file (servo-complete.AD_ASM) invokes file locations that don’t exist (such as U:\Users\dalew\data\Documents\Dynaplex\Alibre\Assemblies\Dynaplex\test…) and at least one file name that doesn’t exist anywhere. Consequently, the assembly won’t load into AD, even partially. Has anyone else tried out this model?

Fortunately, the constituent part files look ok so I should be able to create my own assembly if I have to. It may be that with creative hacking, I can even “fix” the assembly file, but that remains to be seen.

Regards,
Kent

Let us know of the results. We would be happy to repost the corrected files. We appreciate the support.

You won’t be able to use the servo complete assembly (.AD_ASM) at all for the reasons you mentioned. This *.AD_ASM file needs to be removed from the archive and you will have to create it on your system. I’m looking at other ways to share assembly files.
