Problem with Hitec Servo!

Hello,

I recently bought the Hitec HS-7966HB servo from your website, and it doesn’t seem to work properly. Indeed, There is no problem traveling from 0° to 90°, but, as you can see in the video (youtu.be/Rl_kwW5UaVo), going from 0° to 45° will cause a small “tic”, as if the destination wasn’t perfectly reached the first time. The same thing occurs when going from 90° to 45°.

Have you already heard about this kind of issue? If not, do you have an idea of what could be the cause of the problem? I opened the servo to check if a gear could be broken but everything seems to be on order! And there is is still lubricant in it.

To give some additional details: I’m currently driving the motor with the Adafruit 12 servos shield, on the top of an arduino uno. I checked the control signals and everything seems fine. Also, when using a cheap analog servo instead, everything works fine, so no doubt about the good functioning of this shield!

Thank you very much for your answer.

Regards,

Harold
