Problem with bluetooth module DAGU v1.2 RB-Dag-88

Good morning,

we have a problem with this bluetooth module and we cannot make it works.

When we supply it with either 5v or 3.3v, there is a red led turned on and a blue one blinking. But the device cannot be discovered by bluetooth phone or notebook.
Tried several time with no luck.
Also, we connected it to an ftdi usb-serial ttl converter and tried to send it some AT commands at different serial port speed, but we never received any reply from the module.

Can you please tell us how to correctly use it?

thank you very much

Hi,

The Dagu Bluetooth Module’s default name should be “linvor” and pin “1234” or “0000”. The default baud rate is of 9600.
Once the module is powered, you should see a red led blinking and waiting to be paired : youtube.com/watch?v=-z_0aU8VHzk
Have you tried sending AT commands with an Arduino board ?

Once the module is powered, the red led is blinking but we cannot discover the device either with smartphones and pc.
We tried sending AT command both with arduino and a direct usb-ttl converter, but we never received any replied.

I’m thinking that the module is defective.

thank you

Hi,

We contacted the manufacturer about this and we had the following reply :

The module includes a 5V to 3.3V regulator so it should only be powered from 5V.
I have attached the AT command set used by this module. Please note they need to allow 1 second for reply before next command can be sent.

The blue LED blinks when attempting to establish a connection. It stays on once a connection is established.
The default PIN number should be 1234 or 0000.
The default baud is 9600.

Regardless of the current PIN or NAME, sending AT commands directly (on the RX and TX pins) at the current baud rate will allow access.
If they cannot do this then they should try swapping the RX and TX connections.
Typically TX from the USB interface should go to RX of the BT module. TX from the BT module should go to RX of the USB interface.
