I have a Win7 PC and XP Laptop trying to send key strokes to each other. I am using Prolific USB to TTL converters with TeraTerm com program. They don’t see each other. Both set to 9600 baud for serial and RF.
I found RFMagic would not work on the WIN7 machine. So I programmed the modules with XP. They both said they wrote and read successfully. This is the first time I have used Tera Term, it was because I could not get my favorite RealTerm to work on Win7.
I have one question on setting UP with RF Magic. I made them the default network ID but made their NODEs one digit apart? I can’t find any instructions on actually making 2 talk?
I do find the correct com ports on both computer and the drivers installed.
I see the TRANSMIT LED Flicker on the USB to TTL converter.
I have hooked up 4 lines, +5, Gnd, Xmit, Rcv as per instructions on APC220 connect to a PC.
Should the NODE# be different for each as I expect?
