Pro Mini Shield

Hi,

   I want to make this pro mini shield posted here - https://www.robotshop.com/letsmakerobots/node/40286. But the problem is it is SMD and I dont have any experience soldering SMD components. So, if I change it to DIP, what should I use instead of AMS1117 regulator.

SMD Problems

The toughest components to older on that board a C3 & C4. Do them first. This should be a real easy solder job. I would get some sharp tweezers, fine solder, and use a 25 watt or less iron.
