I’m running wine-0.9.25 on Debian etch.
no config changes, just the requisite link for the serial port created:
cd .wine/dosdevices/
ln -s /dev/ttyS0 COM1
They both install ok.
Powerpod starts fine but I don’t see the serial port.
SSC32 starts, draws it’s window but then locks with no visible errors. A break or two in the xterm that i started it from and it comes to life.

So close, but no cheese. Any suggestions?
I guess there’s a dll missing or sumfink.
I will take a look at this lewis. I am also running Debian Etch here on both my machines. On my main PC I dual boot with Windows XP and can easily add mounts for all my NTFS partitions. I also have Wine installed but have not tried anything with it yet. I tend to prefer running applications under their native OS.
i know that this is kind of old, but i make the lynxterm (version 106, 109 don’t work) work in my fedora 8 linux with wine 0.9.56-1, only change from you is a sym link but with a “com1” name not “COM1” and even if the ComboBox for serial port selection in lynxterm don’t show me anithing, tell that is connected and let me use without any problem my SSC32 in linux , very stabel to.
