Speed does not matter. Desired voltage is 5Vdc.

Yes I actaully was thinking of using a worm gear as it also increases the torque of the motor, but lowers it’s speed dramatically. I would have purchased one if I could only find one.
As for high gear ratios, I have not yet found any gearboxes that will be compatible with low powered motors.

Welcome to the RobotShop Forum. For an actuator to be able to hold any weight when it is not powered means it either has a very high gear ratio, or uses a worm gear (self locking). There are no motors rated for non-powered holding torque, so you may want to consider adding a mechanical brake, or experimenting with a variety of large gear ratios.
