Power HD 1201MG servos in Lynx kit's?

Have anyone tried this servo in one of the Lynx kit’s… ??

It could be a cheap alternative to ex. the Hitec 645

The servos may be of the “Tower Pro” variety which may have some quality issues along with the low price. You can search the board for “tower pro” to see previous discussions of the servos.

Hey zoomkat

I have crosschecked that some time ago, because I also looked at the 995MG servos, with seem to be the worst crap ever. Not only were they terrible assembled, but they also had so much over steer that they couldn’t be used in a robot…

I have read alot of reviews of the Power HD analog 1201MG servo, and it doesn’t seem to suffer from any problems… I bought 14 of the for a Scout project, so i will get back as soon as I have assembled the little guy…

I got 2 of them from an other dealer in Sweden today, and played a little around with them… No oversteer at all, and the assemble also looks allot better that the towerpro’s…

But they could need some more grease in the gears … I’ll properly fill them tomorrow, since they make to much noise after my opinion, and i know it will silence them down a bit, plus make them last longer…

One thing is for sure… They would never pass the Hitec quality check, but for $11 a piece, I think they will do a hell of job in my Scout… Pretty powerfull also, but nothing still beats one of my 12kg Hitec digi servos…

That’s for now… I’ll post a video later on, when I have made a proper walking gait for my little baby…
