Pneumatic Animatronic Guitar Player

Hello all.

My name is Joshua, and I've been fiddling around with robotics and animatronics for about 3 - 4 years now and have just competed my my full size pneumatic guitar player. I hope you enjoy my video I made to showcase the character;

Hello @Beaman and welcome to the forum!

Pretty cool project

We are looking forward to see more details provided.People like to know in details which parts were used, how much did they cost, and they like to see schematics.

Also, as many pictures and videos as possible

Hello @Beaman !

This is a great project. Have you thought about linking a soundtrack to movements? I think a great upgrade could be to add lights to the guitar while it’s playing.

We hope to see your tutorial soon!

Hey @igor_X

I was just trying to get a quick one uploaded. I am going to upload a better version soon, explaining in detail everything I did. Thanks for the welcome and help

Hey @RoboCS
Thanks so much!

Yes, that was going to be the future plan!!
The control board I am using has DMX outputs, which makes it easier to sequence the lights to any soundtrack.

I’ll upload a video to my channel sometime soon of it preforming to an audio track. I am still trying to perfect my knowledge of the program and pursue smooth programming. It’s an art form in itself!

I feel very glad to have nice people viewing and complementing my creations. Thank you

Also, planning on adding a skin to the outside of the character, and also adding a stage with lights and a working curtain. Thats the bid idea.

I am also working on a servo powered character, which is currently a bit of a secret, but i plan on releasing footage once it is out to the public and being produced. Hopefully, once I release it, you will be able to buy your own if you wanted to. It’s a kit that should be relatively affordable for what it is.

Hey @Beaman,

If you upload more cool videos about your robot on your youtube channel, I would suggest that you also put the link in Robots section.
It can help you to win monthly prize
