I have five arms here and have only assembled and begun to test one. When I run the sequencer software the arm will usually respond but not if I have all 6 servos activated. If all 6 are active it jumps. If I turn them on just a few at a time it does move and operate as expected. It also does not operate properly with the FlowArm PLTW software. The arm falls over or crumbles up into a little ball.
Hi,
It sounds like you may have a power issue if connecting more servomotors causes the kind of problem you described.
Please open a support ticket here.
Make sure to provide as many details as possible, such as clear pictures showing all components (SSC-32U, jumpers, power cables, power supply, arm assembly, etc.).
Also, you may want to check to make sure the joint at the shoulder & elbow are not overtighten, as this can cause current spikes that are much higher when trying to move, especially for the shoulder servomotor.
Sincerely,
