I just finished building the arm, but I can’t get it to communicate with the FlowArm software. It appears that it sees it because if I unplug the usb the com changes; however, nothing happens when I move the robot on screen.
Hi,
Since you can see the COM port in the list, then the most likely reason would be a baud rate issue.
The SSC-32U is set to 9600 by default. The older SSC-32 (now discontinued) and the FlowArm software (up until the latest update) are set to 115200.
The baud rate is changed by clicking the Bluetooth icon near the COM port dropdown list. If it is active (blue), then the baud rate is 9600. Otherwise it defaults to 115200.
Please check the baud rate and let us know if this helps.
If it does not resolve your issue, please provide us with the following information:
]The controller you are using (SSC-32/SSC-32U) and the baud rate it is set at/:m]
]A screenshot of your FlowArm software (full window)/:m]
]One or more pictures of your setup, showing clearly all components (SSC-32/SSC-32U, its jumpers, servo & power connections, etc.)/:m]
You can attach an image to your reply by going into the Full editor mode and clicking on the Attachments bar. See the attached image for details.
Sincerely,
