Please read this and answer this question

Hi,

I’m a 3D CG artist. And I’m interested in a rather cheap way of producing sculptures by robotic CNC ARM milling.

Last night I saw a video on the internet that made me dream.
This one:

youtube robotcnc bethoven

Now, your company produces robotic arms that can be driven via desktopsoftware. IF YOU COULD PRODUCE SOFTWARE THAT READS STL FILE FORMAT OR 3DS OR OBJ AND YOU COULD COMBINE THIS WITH A DREMEL CARVING MACHINE AND A TURNTABLE WITH STEP MOTOR YOU COULD HAVE YOUR OWN “DESKTOP CNC CARVING MACHINE”

IF YOU COULD MAKE IT FOR 500 TO 1000 USD YOU CAN RIVAL ALMOST ANY 3D PRINTER IN THE WORLD; If it could carve through WAX, Polyester, foam, aluminium, FOAM you could have your mold making tool.
MAKE IT DESKTOPSIZE.

Lost wax

I could then output my zbrush files and make toy moldings or sculptures from it

MAKE IT PERHAPS ALSO COMPATIBLE WITH BLENDERS3D BLEND FORMAT

SHIP ALSO THROUGH EUROPE. I LIVE IN BELGIUM

THERE IS A RATHER SUBSTANTUAL MARKET FOR THIS TECHNOLOGY

PLEAAAAAAAAAAAAASE ANSWER THIS POST

“Hobby” types of robotic arms usually don’t have the precision needed to do the type of thing you want to do, otherwise they would already be in use. The below discussion might be of interest.
