I setup the SmartDriveDuo with and RC TX/RX. The error LCD blinks twice (Input Error). I tested the RC TX/RX with servos and they work fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your reply and interest to help me. When I press the manual buttons (MLA, MLB, MRA, and MRB) the motors turn as they are supposed to. Attached the pictures. Thanks. It only allowed me to upload one image because I am a new user.
Hey @MakerInQuarintine, thank you for the photos!
According to Manual instructions :
1. Input Error (Error LED blinks 2 times)
Every time SmartDriveDuo-30 is power up, the input data must be ‘stop’ (for RC, Analog,
PWM input mode). This feature prevent the driver from sudden run, especially when the
driver accidently reset.
Are you sure that in your case this condition is met?
I am not sure how to send the ‘stop’ input data from my remote transmitter. What does it mean? Thanks
Hmmm @MakerInQuarintine, that’s a good question.
Maybe you can try this:
The RC transmitter must be ON before power up the SmartDriveDuo-30.
Already did as as per instructions. I will try to find another transmitter and see if that’s the problem.
Do you maybe have an Arduino or another microcontroller that could generate similar signal like RC?
Yes, I might try that as well. Thanks for your help.
Pardon me there “MakerInQuarintine” for jumping in but I just wanted to say that I had the same issue and Mr. igor_x’s solution worked for me.
Thank you so very much Mr. igor_x!
Where did you find that information?
Also, I was wondering if I can have both an Arduino and an RC hooked up at the same time where either will control the motor driver (perhaps the inputs are ORed together)? Would you know?
