Hello,
I am wondering if the
[h1]Banebots P80 Gearbox: Standard Shaft, CIM Mount, 12:1 (or similar gearbox)[/h1]
will opperate in reverse ratio? so 1:12? This is for a custom application not related to robots or DC motors.
Any insight would be appreciated.

There will be issues operating in reverse:
]Due to internal friction, the torque needed to rotate the output shaft is considerably higher than the torque needed under normal 1:12 operation/:m]
]There is no output shaft when operating in 12:1 - you would need to create one, as well as a means to close / seal the gearbox/:m]
]If you need high RPM, it’s always best to try to find a gear motor with as high an RPM as possible and add a little extra gearing (spur gears might be best)./:m]
