Pixy Camera for Lego MIndstorms

Is it possible to access the Pixy Camera for Lego Mindstorms thru’ RobotC for Ev3 ?

I don’t want to have to use the PixyMon application. I want to write my own C applications, but at the same time, be able to configure the Pixy camera through the Motors & Sensors configuration panel in RobotC.

I have been digging for info about this for the last day. The info about this topic is fragmented, confusing and apparently already out of date.

I’ve tried contacting Charmed Labs directly for help. But there’s no obvious contact point.
