Pixhawk vs. Lynxmotion Quadrino Nano for a beginner?

I’am new to UAV quadcopters. I’ve been using a simple quadcopter with a KK2.1.5 flight controller quite successfully. I’am currently building a fully autonomous UAV quadcopter. I’am trying to decide on a full function flight controller, namely the Lynxmotion Quadrino Nano vs PixHawk.

I’am looking for a flight controller that meets the following parameters:

  1. clear, concise easy to understand instructions,

  2. most suitable for a multi-function camera platform,

  3. simplest to use,

  4. most flexibility for future expansion,

  5. simplest hardware & firmware set-up,

  6. easiest to understand software,

  7. basically the most economical full function flight controller for a beginner.

I would appreciate any comments that may help me to decide which full function flight controller to buy.

Hi GrantM,

The Lynxmotion Quadrino Nano is a nice controller but it can only do what MultiWii can achieve.
If you search a ready-to-use system we would suggest the PixHawk for your project mostly because you need an Autonomous system.

On the other hand, the Quadrino Nano is not locked and can be programmed using Arduino IDE so anybody could change the MultiWii code and/or design it’s own code.

All the best,

Hi GrantM, I have the same interest. Started with Lynxmotion 500, adding PX4 Mini for advanced autonomous features.
