picaxe uses basic language

picaxe uses basic language and picaxe 28X1 would be a good choice.Check out this tutorial

Not only is is a bit cheaper to build than grabbing all the parts individually (and you get all sorts of cool stickers to boot!), but you get all sorts of cool parts to build the robot, and can be reused in future projects! You also help out LMR too!

Either way, if you are new to pickaxe and want to learn how to use it, this is a great way to do so.
