I ran the driver on the CD, I didnt check the website though, is there a new driver on it? If so could someone link to it, and how do I know if the picaxe controller works if I dont plug it into my computer?

I’m running Vista as well, and I just hooked up my Picaxe023 (8 pin) with a serial cable and its not being recognized! 9v will fry it according to the datasheet. I need a hand.

I just want to make sure
I just want to make sure that you installed the drivers, have the stereo plug in the project board connected, have power going to the project board (5volts is best), and have the com port set correctly. I only use a USB connection so if the seriel has different steps I may not be able to help much.
