Does the Pi PoE can power if i attached a expansion storage for my Raspberry Pi 3B+?

The X828 Expansion Storage Board has these specifications:

  • Power supply: AC 100 - 240V input 50 / 60Hz, 5V DC 4A output
  • Important Note: Please use high quality DC 5V 4A power supply. If you get low quality power supply to use, it may probably will damage your 2.5 inch HDD/SSD.

The Pi PoE HAT can only provide 5V/2.5A DC output.

However, the manufacturer of the Expansion Storage Board mentions that the X765 Power over Ethernet (PoE+) Expansion Board which can provide 5V/Max 5A is fully compatible with the X828.

can i combine those two expansion board? what i mean is, Pi Poe then i attached the x75 PoE+ on top. ? Thanks

Why would you need two Power Expansion Boards?

The X765 (PoE+) powers the Raspberry Pi via the 40-pin header and other devices via 3 XH2.54 connectors.

Do you mean the Pi Poe and the X735 or the X765 and the X735?

Hello again, i just received my Pi PoE Switch HAT and it is not working, do i still need i injector or a switch with POE? I thougtht the PiPoe switch hat can supply the power to the raspberry pi?

Yes, you will need power sourcing equipment on your Ethernet network, either an ethernet switch or a PoE injector.
