Phoenix Hexapod Remote non Responsive

Hello. I have finished all the steps in building Phoenix Hexapod upto step 16 in the tutorial. The legs were adjusted and the Bot Board was programmed using Atom Pro IDE. I open the file .prj and click program the robot. It says the robot was programmed, but as I click start on the PS2 remote, the robot does not respond. I have tryed many different things, however no response from the remote. The operations I do are, power on the PS2 remote, then connect serial to Bot Board, check the order of the files, power on the robot and click program. All goes well, but no remote functionallity. The red left light on PS2 remote is blinking. Please help.

Hi and welcome

There have been several threads and the like on how to debug when the PS2 does not work. But it always helps to have additional information.
Is this a default type configuration of phoenix with a Bot Board 2 (BB2) and an BasicAtomPro28? Which version of the IDE are you using? Are you using a lynxmotion PS2?

Things to check:
a) Make sure the wires are plugged in correctly to pins 12-15 on the BB2. Make sure the wires were not reversed.
b) Make sure the voltage selection jumper for IO pins 12-15 is set for +5v not VS
c) Make sure you downloaded the correct version of the phoenix code - that is may sure you are running one that is setup for a PS2.
d) Make sure your batteries in the PS2 are fresh. Likewise make sure your phoenix has power.
e) Try removing (if you have not already) the jumpers by the switches that enable the use of the buttons/leds. They can interfere with PS2.
f) If still you don’t get the light on the PS2 to stop blinking, try removing all of the wires going to the PS2 except for power and ground and see if they will sync up.

I probably missed a few but hopefully one of these will get you up and running.

It is default configuaration of phoenix. And running the latest Atom Pro IDE. And yes using the lyncmotion PS2.

Is the Bot Board II making quiet, clicking sounds or loud, repeating beeps?

If we could also get a picture of how your Bot Board is set up, that would help.

Yes, the board is making quiet clicking sounds. I will try to post picture.

I believe this means you have not actually programmed the Atom Pro yet.
