Phoenix bot and SSC-32

Hello Everyone,
I assembled my new Phoenix last night and while I was wiring it up I noticed that the pins used do not coraspond with the canned gait functions of the SSC, Is there a way to change which pins are used with the canned gait? I am not using a bot board, I am using a 16F877 based controller which I designed. I am almost ready to start this up and program my controller board which will send the correct outputs to the SSC for movement. My second question is I have been given a couple of the Atmel chips, is it possible to just plug it into the SSC and load the firmware or do I need to program it with another programmer first?

Thanks for all your help

Um… well, the built in hexapod sequencer is actually for a 2DOF or 12 servo walker, not the 3DOF 18 servo walker you have. Unfortunately you’re faced with a huge task if you’re recreating everything we have done with the Atom /Atom Pro on a blank pic chip. Good luck with it. :open_mouth:

A forum search for “bootloader” may have some answers to your question about programming your own ssc-32 chip.
