Phidgets 64 LED Controller -A SIMPLE doubt

Hello i was interested in buy a PhidgetLED 64 to control some fans instead of leds only they (the fans are simple computer chassis fan) 12V 0.10A
so can you tell me if these are going to work or do you know any different approach?
maybe i can hack the connection of the fans to supply the extra power from an external output?
and hiow can i connect two of these boards?
to control 128 fans?

This board is not designed for controlling computer fans. The on-board voltage and current limitations may cause a problem.

Phidgets states:“This will simply not work. It’s not possible for the user to change the voltage for the LEDs (internally regulated at 3.4 Volts), or increase the current limits. The LED64 is a sophisticated design - it’s not easy to modify.”

Ideally, you should use a relay controller to toggle PC fans on/off.

In order to control more boards, they each have to be on a logical COM port. Simply put, with an external USB hub, you could have many boards working from 1 PC.
