I purchased a PhidgetBridge and its corresponding app to communicate with it. When I open up ‘PhidgetBridge Wheatstone Bridge Sensor Interface v1.0’, however, it will not load. I just get the error “Phidget Wheatstone Bridge has stopped working”. It was my understanding that this was a stand alone app. Does it require FlowBotics Studio to run? Is this error common? I tried on a Windows 7 and Windows 10 computer with equal luck.
Our sincere apologies for the late reply. You are correct that the software is intended to work on its own, and does not require that you have FlowBotics Studio installed. This is not a common issue, and we will assume you have gone through the normal troubleshooting methods:
]Reinstalled the app/:m]
]Check for conflicts (COM port or incorrect IO pins used for example)/:m]
]Have the Phidgets bridge connected/:m]
]Try Phidgets sample code to ensure the hardware is functional/:m]
]Has the license # been accepted upon install?/:m]
Do you get this error after a while, or every time immediately once the software has launched? Can you check which version of the hardware you have? We’ll see if there has been a revision which might cause a conflict. Windows 7 / 10 are compatible with the app. Can you provide your order or invoice number?
I have successfully installed and re-installed the program. The Phidget bridge is showing up as connected in the app that came with the Phidget driver and I have been able to communicate with it using the provided Python Script. When I try and open the Phidgetbridge app however, I see a loading screen for a second, and then I immediately get a windows alert saying the program stopped working. The app was purchased under a different user (purchase manager) the invoice number is: #577314 .

I fixed it.
It appears to be an issue with the DLL linked on the product page.
I installed the Phidgets21 libraries supplied by Phidget at phidgets.com/downloads/phid … idget-x64/
And it now works.
Hi,
You are right! The app only supports the Phidgets21 libraries. The older libraries must be uninstalled first.
We specifically recommend that you use this one, as it is the most recent version of the libraries.
Sincerely,
Just to clarify
The libraries supplied from the app’s webpage did not work, this was on a computer that did not have any previous Phidgets libraries install.
App’s page: robotshop.com/en/flowbotics- … ridge.html
Libraries that crashed the app: robotshop.com/media/files/zi … etsdll.zip
Uninstalling the RobotShop/Flowbotics supplied libraries and installing the Phidget21 libraries from the Phidget’s website did work.
So it appears to be an issue with the libraries that are supplied by RobotShop/Flowbotics.
Thank you for the info, we’ll inform our content team to correct the link to a new one.
We most likely forgot to update that one after the recent library change.
