Pheonix hex with botboarduio

I have purchased a pheonix hex with ssc-32 a while back and just recently got a botboarduino and ps2 controller. I have connected it per the instruction, but when I turn on the power, all the servos start to jump and jitter. If I start the board and hold the “A” button down, it does suspend all servo motion.

The ps2 colntroller does connect and the controls seem to have an effect on some servos as they jitter, but no real control.

Do you have any suggestions? My SSC-32 was purchased several years ago, but it does have the “v2” on it.

You’ll need to provide several images here of the electronics and complete setup. The more information you can provide the better.

First thought would be batteries. How are you powering your 'bot?

More Info

Hardware Info? What Servos?

What Instructions? Are you following a tutorial? Which One? This one? lynxmotion.com/images/html/build99f.htm

How are you powering it? One or two batteries? How are they connected? Are they charged? How are the jumpers set?

What version of Arduino? 1.0.5?

What Software? Are you using the Lynxmotion github version of the Phoenix code base? This one(github.com/Lynxmotion/3DOF-4DOF … tboarduino) ? Did you download it recently?

You say you power it up and the servo do something? The default Phoenix code base does not do anything with the servos until you hit the start button on the PS2. You mention A button on PS2, which one is this?

Was this SSC-32 used for something else before? Does it have some Initial position for the servos configured on it?

Again can not really help out more, until we have some more information.
