I had seen some really cool stuff on ebay.com and had decided to purchase it later.
As nearly all the sellers take payments from PayPal, it was the only option to go with.
When i tried to add money in my PayPal account, I came to know that i counld'nt add money in it with my debit card.I don't have a credit card too. What's more ,it asks to link a bank account which my parents find too risky and do not help in it.
So if any one can give me 10$, I will be quiet happy and i will be able to purchase the parts from ebay to make my first robot which i will post on LMR.
As for linking a bank As for linking a bank account, PayPal is pretty trustworthy. On the other hand, you can open a bank account with just a little money in it that is just for this purpose.
I am very instrested in robotics and i always wanted to make a robot back to the age when i was 8.
Now when I have the time and chance(Some knowledge too).I have problems with thing.I know this wonderful community will always be a support in robotics.
I am trying to buy a couple of 9 gram servos,an Arduino™ Nano ( clone) and a HC-SR04.That’s all what i need.
Prepaid card can allow for payments until money runs out, have no expenses and can be opened way more easily than bank accounts. Many banks even allow under 18 to buy pre-paid cards, with just the signature of a parent and have more limits. You can ask one of your parents to help you buy one and assure them that that card will be your responsability, and the risk will be just your pocket money, not their bank account.
Then you can also stress to the fact that internet banking will be a core part of your adulthood, and often you can buy things at lower prices or not sold by stores.
We’ve also been recently We’ve also been recently burned by another short time member who tried various scams, then did an Indiegogo asking for money to open up a robot shop when he didnt know enough about robotics to build one on a budget.
You have the money, you just need a credit card so you can pay by PayPal. Just get a prepaid credit card. I was under the effects of my pain medication yesterday, which makes me maudlin.
I’m not so harsh that I hold the SB incident against you, but then you made it either a blog or weblink and LMR is the wrong place to raise funds for orphans, unless they’re building robots or are robots or you’re selling robots to raise the funds.
Convince us that you’re serious about robots and we’ll take you seriously.
First of all, I’m the one First of all, I’m the one who isn’t taking you seriously.
Second, the posting was wrong because it had nothing to do with robots, not because it might be a scam.
Third, then make them. Do you have a hobby shop in your area? You should be able to get servos there. And we’ve given you a few ways to get to PayPal. Just how old are you?
