Parts to Built Wireless Actuator/Gear

Hi there, I’m new to this so bare with me!

I’d like to build a (seemingly) simple device. It is just a wireless transmitter of some sort that will turn a gear or actuator forward and backward. I’d like to build this for as little as possible…

Think of using a key fob to control a small motor about 30’ away to move a 8X10 wooden door on a track/rack/slider. I’d think a rotary actuator (?) as they are less expensive and complicated than a linear unless I can just use a pinion of sorts.

I would think I need some type of simple board that accepts a power source, a rf receiver and a small (rc car size?) slow torquey motor…

ideas? I do have a 18V black and decker drill I can pull apart to use as parts. the motor is more than powerful enough…
