Parts connecting servo motors to wheels

Hello,
I have a robot with 2 servo motors MG996R. I want to have a shaft for each motor that connects a 60mm wheel to the motor. The parts in the shop do not match each other and some are not available. I was thinking of using the following:

  • 2x wheels - 6mm bore: on website (but only 1 is left);
  • 2x servo-to-shaft coupler - 1/4 inch bore (not really 6mm): on website (not available);
  • 2x 6mm D Shaft of 10cm: on website;
  • 2x pillow block rotary bearing for 6mm shaft: couldn’t find that size on the website.

I was also wondering if you have another solution and could quickly provide the parts.

Hi @Nad42 and welcome to the forum.

According to this page (TowerPro MG996R Digital Servo Motor 9.4kg/cm 4.8V 180 360 Arm Flux Workshop | eBay) MG996R has a 22T shaft.

I think that this servo to shaft coupler will not fit since it is meant for 25T Servo to Shaft Coupler (H25T Spline, 1/4-inch Bore) - RobotShop.

Maybe you can try with some of these:

I don’t know the actual dimensions of MG996R shaft, but if you already have the motors you can measure it. If you cannot find 22T shaft coupler anywhere, then you could try with these options to fit clamping couplers somehow (I hope it would hold).
