Pan and tilt for outside bird scarer

I really do need some technical help with this. I am a lawn bowler and we have problem with birds eating the grubs in grass and newly laid seed. I am looking to have a pan and tilt unit wired in outside at a low level and secure a hand held laser bird scarer to it . So laser pans just above surface .Needs to scan left and right 160 degree… or be adjustable .Needs to have a variable scan speed. Up and down to be minimal either none or adjustable down to 4 degree. We would mount it just above ground level…
Can anyone tell me which model would do this.
It’s a great Idea if it works…

@Nigel99 Welcome to the RobotShop Community. The main issue will be waterproofing the unit. RobotShop doesn’t currently carry any waterproof systems, so we can only suggest something more “DIY”, which would involve two waterproof servos, aluminum brackets, either wired to an RC joystick or wireless to a handheld controller. If you want it to scan automatically, you’d insead need a microcontroller and program it accordingly.

Issue is that pechanically speaking, very few servos are the same, so pan/tilt units tend to be made for specific RC servo motors and won’t work with almost all others.

Example with compatible servos:

Designed specifically for Hitec HS-645MG Servo Motor or the HS-485HB Servo Motor

Hitec 805BB (tilt) and 645MG (pan) servos sold separately.

At Lynxmotion, we have not actually tested the compatibility of Hitec’s waterproof servos. Ex:

All dimensions would need to fit.
