Hello
I don’t think I’m clever enough to make robots
but I do have a small project in mind. Can this unit charge an iPhone 8?
I was thinking of embedding it in a kitchen countertop and covering it in epoxy resin.
Does it meet the Qi standard for inductive charging?
Any help would be appreciated

Hey @Pads999!
First of all, phones usually charge at 5V, I wouldn’t recommend trying to input 12V directly to your Iphone.
These charger are not Qi-certified and I wouldn’t risk frying your device. You’re better off buying something certified for that purpose.
Hi Magmator
Thank you for your sound advice. It’s much appreciated. I’ll find a suitable one at 5v.
All the best

Hey there, Magmator is of good advices.
Note that this wireless charger is outputting 5V at 700mA: https://www.robotshop.com/en/5v-700ma-wireless-charging-pcb-module.html?product-code=RB-See-386
This could work but you should verify first the specification of your phone charger to make sure it matches the specs of this wireless charger.
