I just purchased the hitec 7ch rc radio for my crazy2fly. The receiver that came with the radio does not fit the wiring harness. This is my senior project and I need to get this done asap! Please help me.

Zack, can you give us more details about your issue. Maybe some pictures.
Our receiver wiring harness is made to fit almost any RC receiver on the market, including the Hitec brand.
Can you explain what’s the problem on those pictures ?
On one you have the original battery pack that came with the Hitec that is not required for a UAV system and the other our Wiring harness.

If that’s not required than what is? Because that’s the only thing that came that resembles the receiver
The receiver wiring harness is needed if you use a MultiWii board compatible. It will send the five channels and power to the receiver. Power is provided by one of the brushless motor ESC connected to the board as well.

There are many steps to follow if you want a successful UAV and skipping one will have the whole thing fail.
