Okay, here I go again with the questions…
I would like to interface at least 2 optical encoders to my BasicAtom Pro. Any suggestions on the best way to go? I will be interfacing other sensors at the same time (accelerometer, gyro and possibly mangetometer), and there is concern that I will miss steps on the encoder while the MCU is trying to execute other tasks.
Is a quadrature decoder the best way to go? If so, how hard is to put together a circuit for one?
Or how about a dedicated PIC processor?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. (go easy on me, I am just a beginner 
)
