After changing the DFI sensor from the old version to V2, the machine stopped soon after starting rotating, and now the yellow light is constantly on, and the blue light inside the cabin is flashing.
What would be the issue? I changed the anti-pinch pins as well.
Hello @smilynancy ,
Welcome back to RobotShop community.
We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your Litter-Robot.
Please provide us with your order number or a copy of the invoice.
Does the yellow light blink slowly or is it a fixed light?
Awaiting your reply.
Sincerely,
Hi, there, thanks for your timely response! The order number is CA13484.
The original problem of our litter box was somehow solved by power on and off for dozen of times.
However its status is not stable, during today it stopped working at the point that the cabin should be rotating back to its normal position, the yellow light was constantly on. After the first time unplugged and plugged in, the yellow light became flashing, and after several unplugged and plugged in, the machine restored. Right before I started writing this email, the machine was running once and this time it worked perfectly fine.
In the past I have replaced the DFI sensor twice, both were replacing with the old version ones, the replacement worked as usual right after the replacement.
This is my first time replaced with the V2 version and got such strange behaviour of the machine. I am not sure if it’s caused by compatibility of the sensor though.
PS: I received the kit several months ago, then left it in the original package in a closet until yesterday, so there’s no chance that the sensor would have got stastic electricity damage I believe.
Many thanks for you could take a look into this issue.
Hello @smilynancy ,
Thank you for your reply.
We can see that the base and bonnet contact pins weren’t replaced this time so please provide us with pictures of them like the ones attached below to check their status:
Awaiting your reply.
Sincerely,
Hi,
The pins are connected properly. What I could see was the bonnet sensors might be worn out a bit.
And there’s a spared connectors under the machine, is it supposed to be like that?
Thanks, Nancy
Hello @smilynancy ,
Thank you for your reply.
The two connectors at the bottom of the base are there in case you want to get the backup battery and connect it to the robot so please keep them taped to the inner wall of the battery compartment as they were.
According to the pictures, the base and bonnet contact pins will need to be replaced.
You can order new pins from the following links:
The following video will show you how to replace them:
