Not getting power from Sabertooth 2x12 motor outputs

I recently bought a Sabertooth 2x12 from the RobotShop. I connected a 12v Linear actuator to it and it worked fine a few times. Then, it stopped working. The board is getting 12v, but both motor outputs read 0v on the Volt meter. The channel 1 Led is on steady and the red error light isn’t flashing. Does anyone know what might be happening or is it a defective board.

Hi @crowdog ,

Try disconnecting the actuator from the Sabertooth board and leave only power supply.

Does the LED light pattern changes?

That’s the first thing I did. The led was solid and still is. With the actuator connected and without.

Thanks

Hi @crowdog ,

Did you maybe try to reset it with DEScribe software?

Thank you.

Hi. The 2x12 doesn’t have a USB port.
I also use a 2x32 on this robot that has USB support.
Wish this did too.
I think I’m going to contact support and return it.

Thanks for your help.

Hi @crowdog

We see that you contacted us through our internal support.

We will connect you there with manufacturer (Dimension Engineering).

They have to approve returns and exchanges.

Thank you.
