Non-Functioning Laser RB-Dfr-330

Hello,

I am using four 5V 30mW Laser Photoelectric Switches (RB-Dfr-330) on a robot prototype. They are all supplied by the same regulated 5VDC source. I have just recently started using them. One of the laser emitters initially worked, but has now stopped producing a beam. The laser’s on-board indicator LED still turns on when the laser is plugged in, as it should.

The three other lasers are still working perfectly, so I haven’t been able to find any cause for this problem. The laser may have been defective. Please advise.

If you were to swap the defective unit with one of the three functional units, does the function unit work in its place?Does the defective unit work where the functional unit was plugged?
