I have quite a few layouts of the “shell” and how the Actuators will be mounted,etc. I still have not begun activation for this one yet…waiting to earn the funds…I am first going to get the prototype…and get the molding/casting done…and make sure it fits…and customize room for the actuators…So once I get the “Shell” done…I can focus on constructing the “Nexus”, outside the body.
As with the “speech engine”… I just need source code for:

Did you use the phidgets sensors for your project ? I’m actually going for phidgets rather than Vex. I wonder how good A.L.I.C.E is in this kind of project. I’m actually developing my own software to have better control on the voice and speech recognition. I will not be able to program enough A.I for the soft… It is complicated… too much for my brain. Maybe combine A.L.I.C.E for interaction and my software for speech recognition / action will give some good interaction.
It’s frustrating using Dragon Speech because it’s using a lot of the CPU. If I understand correctly, you use Dragon for speech recognition, A.L.I.C.E for understanding and responding, Text-To-Speech engine pandorabots. Is that it ? What goal do you want to accomplish in creating your robot ? The goal of my project is to perform domestic actions: replacing chairs, dress the bed, clean the table, get a beer (hey, I need a fun part after all), etc).
Dude, I want to hear more about your project. It’s becoming an obsession here.
