Hi. I am just barely beginning to learn about robotics. I have never built or programmed a robot and I have very little experience with programming. I am very interested in Robotics and Computer Science as a major in college so I decided I would get started with a robot.
I just ordered the A4WD1 combopack for autonomous behavior. I think I may be biting off more than I can chew, so I need some help.

Is there any sample/practice/test code for my newly born robot that I can practice and learn with?
I will be using Sabertooth 2X10 R/C Regenerative Dual Channel Motor Controller, Bot Board II, and BASIC Atom Pro 28 Pin. -
Will I be able to remotely control the rover from my laptop just by pressing buttons? (rather than writing code and having the robot execute functions)
Any helpful information will be much appreciated.
