i want to try to modify my brat and give it arms. what are some of the parts and programming codes that i will need to do so?

The answer to your qestion is all around you. Go to the brat section and read the many tutorials available, and onece you got your brat walking, then you can focus on the arms. It’s best to do things in steps vs. bounce all over the planet. 
Looks awesome!! What parts did you buy, and what is the programming code? I know you used the Ultrasonic Range Sensor (the green ping))) ).
